According to the EPA, the indoor air quality in homes is generally more polluted than outside air. Various volatile organic compounds, mold, pesticides, toxic house cleaners, and dust found in our homes can affect our health. Studies have shown that it can negatively impact our cognitive health and also cause sick building syndrome. In addition, these pollutants can aggravate allergies and asthma symptoms. Having clean indoor air quality is essential for our wellness.




Tips to help improve the indoor quality of your home:

  1. Change your AC filter regularly, approximately every 90 days.

  2. Open windows to improve ventilation.

  3. Use non-toxic cleaners like vinegar, hydrogen peroxide, and baking soda instead of those cleaners with chemicals and fragrances.

  4. Vacuum frequently using HEPA filtered Vacuums. My favorite vacuum cleaner is the Shark NV752 Vacuum which works with a HEPA filter to trap 99.9% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum cleaner.   5. Utilize an air purifier. The best air purifier to use in your home is the Air Doctor which utilizes an ultra-HEPA filter that is independently tested and proven to capture airborne particles as small as 0.003 microns in size.

  6. Avoid using toxic fragrances included in candles and perfumes.
