Your Full Story
Your first session isn't a 15-minute check-in. We go through your complete history — every symptom, every failed treatment, every pattern — and then order the labs that actually tell us something.

You've been handed a diagnosis, a list of foods to avoid, maybe an antidepressant — and sent home with no explanation of why. I'm Dr. Wendy Quijada Hansen, PharmD. I spent years as a pharmacist watching that cycle repeat. Then I trained in functional medicine to actually break it.
A Different Kind of Medicine
Most of my patients come to me after years of normal labs, normal scopes, and specialist referrals that led nowhere. Functional medicine asks a different question — not what is wrong, but why your body got here. I look at your gut, your environment, your nervous system, and what you've been eating, taking, and absorbing — and build a protocol that actually makes sense for your body.
Bloating, brain fog, chronic fatigue, IBS, IBD, leaky gut, parasites — these aren't things to just manage. They're things to understand and solve.
How I Work
There's no single supplement that fixes leaky gut, no pill for IBS. Healing happens when you address all the pieces at once.
Your first session isn't a 15-minute check-in. We go through your complete history — every symptom, every failed treatment, every pattern — and then order the labs that actually tell us something.
Your full storyNot another generic elimination diet. We identify what's inflaming your gut specifically — food sensitivities, microbiome imbalances, nutrient gaps — and build a way of eating that supports your healing.
NutritionChronic stress dysregulates the gut-brain axis — it's one of the most overlooked drivers of gut dysfunction. We address it with practical, evidence-based tools, not vague wellness advice.
Stress & nervous systemHeavy metals, mold, parasites, and pharmaceutical residue can quietly obstruct healing. We assess your toxic burden and support your body's ability to clear it — something most doctors never check.
Toxins & exposuresTargeted supplements through Cellcore and Fullscript, follow-up labs, and lifestyle adjustments — all built from your results, not a template. We track how your body responds and refine as we go.
Your protocolBetween sessions, you have direct access via messaging. Your questions get answered — not filed away until your next appointment. Your protocol evolves as your healing does.
See the ProcessWhat Your Body Is Telling You
Your gut affects your energy, your mood, your ability to think clearly. If it's struggling, your whole life feels it. Here's where we start looking.
I run tests most doctors aren't running — gut permeability markers, comprehensive stool analysis, inflammatory patterns. Not the same panel that came back "normal" three times before.
Food sensitivities, gut-lining breakdown, microbiome imbalances — these show up differently in every person. We find your specific inflammatory triggers and build around them.
The gut-brain axis is real — stress and anxiety don't just live in your head, they show up in your digestion. We address both sides, not one while ignoring the other.
Parasites, heavy metals, mold exposure — these are real and common, and most practitioners don't test for them. If something is blocking your healing, we find it.
Not a generic wellness stack — a targeted protocol through Cellcore and Fullscript built from what your specific results show. What your body needs, not what sells well.
Healing isn't linear, and your protocol shouldn't be static. As your body responds, your plan adjusts — with ongoing support so you're never left wondering what to do next.
Her Story
As a pharmacist, I had a front-row seat to what medications could and couldn't do. Patients came back month after month — same symptoms, new prescriptions, no one asking why. That's what led me to functional medicine. Not because I stopped believing in medicine, but because I knew we were only ever treating half the picture.
My practice is intentionally small so I can give every patient the time their case actually requires. I work with people who have complex gut conditions, who've been dismissed, who've run out of conventional options — and who deserve a practitioner willing to dig deeper.

Three sessions. Real labs. A protocol built around your body — not a template.
Session One
Not a 15-minute check-in. We spend real time on your full history — every symptom, every failed treatment, every pattern that hasn't made sense until now. Then we order the labs that give us real answers.
Session Two
When your results are back, we sit down and go through everything together. You'll understand what's driving your symptoms — and leave with a clear, specific protocol built around your body, not a template.
Session Three
We refine your protocol based on how your body has responded. And you're not alone between sessions — direct messaging means your questions get answered, not filed away until the next appointment.
Patient Stories
"I had seen three GI specialists and been told my tests were normal every single time. Dr. Wendy ordered tests I'd never heard of — and we finally found what was actually driving my IBS. I've had more relief in four months than in the previous seven years combined."
"The bloating and brain fog had gotten so bad I was canceling plans and struggling to focus at work. Dr. Wendy was the first practitioner who didn't dismiss it as stress. Six months in, I feel like I have my life back."
"She took the time to understand my entire history — not just my most recent labs. She found connections I never would have made on my own. My energy and mental clarity are better than they've been in years."
